As part of Frankston City Council (Melbourne, Australia) strategic planning, a Civic Participation Taskforce was created to explore avenues in which to encourage civic participation in the local decision making process. The Taskforce was made up of key management stakeholders of the Council as well as local community and business representatives.
In September ASCN delivered two workshops for the Taskforce. Community Engagement Planning and a D2C Program Information Workshop.
Participants included Shayne O’Gorman and John Roberts (community representatives), Councilor Kris Bolam, Michelle Tipton (Council Governance Team Leader and Michael Craighead (Manager Governance & Customer Relations)
A Report on the progress of the Taskforce will be developed soon.
Michael Craighead later attended the ASCN Think Tank in Melbourne.
